Timeline & history

• Foundation of proprietorship firm “Madhav Foods” to make pickles was laid in 1983, in a land area of 65000 sq.ft.

• Undertook 3 internal expansions in a period of 20 years, to get plant area of more than 1,00,000 sq.ft.

• Started exporting to USA and UK from 1993

• Started exports to Australia from 1994

• USFDA registration in 1996

• Was one of the first few food businesses in India to obtain ISO 9002 certification in 2001

• Company converted to Private Limited in 2001, thereby called Madhav Agro Foods Pvt Ltd

• Received National MSME Award in 2002

• Added new products, like cooking pastes and chutneys, in 2003

• Successfully applied for the HACCP and GMP in the year 2004

• Started exporting to Canada 2006

• Received ISO 22000 in 2008

• Started exporting to New Zealand in 2009

• Received second National MSME Award in 2009

• First USFDA inspection in 2010. Subsequently inspected in 2013 and 2016

• Started exporting to EU countries, like Germany, Italy, Denmark and Netherlands in 2012

• Awarded GCCI MSME Excellence Award 2010-11 in Agro Products and Food Processing sector Govt of Gujarat in 2012

• Best MSME Award 2012-13 for Quality and Environment Improvement Measures

• Becomes an EIA approved unit in 2015

• Best MSME Award 2013-14 for Growth in Production and Profit in 2015

• Started exporting to Japan in 2016

• Exports to South Africa, Bahrain, Seychelles, Uganda and UAE in 2017

• In 2017, company starts work for new plant with increased capacity at Karjan near Vadodara and it becomes operational in 2018

• Company launches pickles in flexible pouches

• Company launches chutneys, pastes and natural syrups under Pasand brand in 2018
